As a leadership team, our motivation to be involved in Crossroads is to provide the time and space for people to consider important questions in their lives. We each regularly take time out to think about these things ourselves and as a result know the benefits of ‘retreat’ and want to pass that on to others.
Chris Blakeley is one of the founder members of Crossroads Retreats and a trustee. He is primarily involved with training new retreat guides and has an oversight which keeps the charity true to its foundational principles. He has 15 years experience of organisational consulting, working with all aspect of managing change and leadership development.
Janet Fawcett is the Crossroads Retreats administrator and has a background in HR, particularly staff care & development, team building and debriefing. Janet has an interest in developing follow up retreats for those who have already experienced an open retreat.
Jeff Pullinger works with Liz West developing Crossroads Potential,
primarily focusing on making Potential available to young adults in their
twenties across the country. Jeff is experienced in working with this age
group as they seek to discover who they are and their path in life. He is
also self-employed as a life coach, web designer, and drummer.
Guy Rothwell is a trustee of Crossroads Retreats and brings his experience in leadership development where he has a particular emphasis on releasing individual and team potential through productive relationships. He guides retreats in many different contexts including Crossroads and is a champion for the benefit of retreating especially in cross cultural settings.
Belinda Smith heads up our Open Retreats, leading the team of retreat guides and developing retreats for all those at ‘crossroads’ moments in their lives. She is a director of a leadership development consultancy, where she leads the one-to-one coaching and career management practice.
Liz West is a trustee of Crossroads Retreats and has chaired the Leadership Team since February 2007. She also heads up Potential Retreats, developing the work amongst young adults as they discover their future. Liz has come from years of experience in charity leadership, including time working in youth work.
Jackie Nelson works with the leadership team on marketing, fund raising and new projects development. She is also one of the Crossroads guides and has experience in coaching and development as well as project management in the private as well as the voluntary sectors.
